SUMMARY:Seminar: Academic Writing for PhD Students 
DESCRIPTION:Research writing in English is an indispensable skill in today’s international academic environment. Scholars must be able to write effectively for journal publications, conference submissions, and many other types of texts. This workshop will identify the main problem areas non-native speakers have when writing academic English and provide tips on how to improve. This offer is specifically adapted to the needs of engineers, with particular focus on technical writing. In this two-day workshop, the participants will sharpen their academic writing skills in English with a particular focus on correct register and reader friendliness, which have been identified in the academic environment as common problematic areas for non-native speakers of English.
